Asteroids:
An asteroid is a small object, which is made by the rock or ice. These are irregular in shape and orbit the Sun. These are a few feet to several miles in sizes. The largest asteroids are called planetoids. Ceres is the largest asteroid with a wide of 950 km. The most of the asteroids orbit the Sun in between the Mas and Jupiter’s orbits. If the asteroids collide, then they form smaller asteroids.
Comets:
A comet is an icy smaller body, which orbit the Sun. Comets pass near to the Sun and gets heats up and begins to outgas and which displays a visible atmosphere or coma and some times a tail. The range of comets is hundreds of kilometers to tens of kilometers. The comets also contain ice, dust, and smaller rocky particles.
Meteorites:
Meteorites are the smaller, which passes through the Earth’s atmosphere and impacts the Earth’s surface. These are small rocky particles. Most of the meteorites consist iron and nickel content.
Meteors (Meteoroids):
A meteorite is a small rocky body, which orbits the Sun and then enters into the Earth’s atmosphere. Meteoroids are smaller than the asteroids and the range of the grain size is about 1 meter-wide. If the meteoroids are smaller in size, then they are called micrometeoroids.
