Polar molecules are attracted by the opposite charges and greater the polarity, the higher the boiling point. in case of Alcohol(n-Butanol) the polarity is more so alcohol(n-Butanol) has higer boiling point and in case of aldehyde(butanal) the polarity is some what less and some what lesser boiling point than the given alcohol and polarity is nil in case of penatne, having low boiling point.
