Explanation / Answer

Solution :-

When the crude oil is heated in the distillation process then the components of the crude oils distillates depending on the boiling point of the each component.

Gasoline has boiling point below 100 C

Boiling point of the kerosene is 175 C to 350 c

Boiling point of the lubricating oils is 300 C to 370 C

Therefore in the distillation process the gasoline is distilled out first because of its lower boiling point, then kerosene is distilled out and lastly the lubricating oils will distilled out.

The volume of the distillate of the each component can be measured separately by volumetric measurements.

Gasoline have yellow or red yellow color tinge.

Kerosene will be colorless and lubricating oils have darker reddish color
