1. The process can allow changes to an organism that creates resistance to antibiotics are Horizontal gene transfer and Spontaneous mutations. Bacteria share DNA with each other during horizontal gene transfer .

2.  Thymine dimers, formed by linking the adjacent thymine bases. They are molecular lesions. They are the result of the photochemical reactions formed from thymine or cytosine bases in DNA. It may lead to  conformational changes in the DNA structure. Two consecutive bases on one strand bind together, by the exposure of photon and destroying the normal base-pairing double-strand structure in that area, which causes molecular lesions.

3. Sterilization is the most effective and efficient mode of eliminating bacteria and all other life forms by a chemical or physical means.
