Choose a metal and compute the mass of it to inflate the balloon at 32C and 1.02 atm. the equation reaction you use must be written prominently to receive full credit.

Since Cu has a lesser reduction potential than hydrogen, therefore it will produce hygrogen gas on reaction with HCl
Cu(s) + 2HCl -------> CuCl2 + H2
Now, volume of H2 required = (4/3)*pi*r3 = 4.445 m3 = 4445 litres
Thus, moles of H2 required = n = (P*V)/(R*T) = (1.02*4445)/(0.0821*305) = 181.1
Thus, moles of HCl required = 2*moles of H2 = 362.2
volume of HCl required = moles/molarity of HCl solution = 362.2/12 = 30.18 litres
