Question
i need number 3
Using the diagram provided, here are the results of an experiment similar to what we did in lab to determine CFU/gram bacteria in the meat. Each meat sample was kept a different temperature for 12 hours (overnight) and then plated. Three plates were plated for each dilution. (TMTC- too many to count) Which are the plates with the most useful data for each treatment? How do you determine that? What is the dilution factor associated with that plate? We want to create a graph of these results. What should the X axis represent? The Y axis should NOT just represent the number of colonies on the plate. Instead, what value is of true interest for this experiment? What manipulation do we need to do to the data to get those values?Explanation / Answer
Question number 3: we can actually have a plot that consists of temperature in deg C as X axis and the log of CFU/ml as Y axis. The natural logarithmic value of colonies will be good to represent the data than the CFU itself.
