a) This pair is easily distinguishe dby using conductivity meausrments. As the first one of the pair does not conduct because it cannot ionise where as second one of the pair ionise into two cpmplex ions which conduct electricity.
(b) This pair can easily be distinguished by using dipolemoment studies.
As cis isomer has certain amount of dipole moment where as trans isomer shows no dipole moment.
