b) Standard deviation = sq.rt.[sum(mean-value)^2)/10]

= 5.9049 x 10^-6 + 1.2769 x 10^-6 + 5.4289 x 10^-6 + 5.29 x 10^-8 + 1.505529 x 10^-4 + 1.10889 x 10^-5 + 1.2769 x 10^-6 + 1.3689 x 10^-6 + 1.089 x 10^-7 + 6.4009 x 10^-6

= 1.83461 x 10^-5

standard deviation = sq.rt.(1.83461 x 10^-5) = 0.00428 oC

c) Average value = 0.00343 +/- 0.00428 oC

d) Based on the value, upto 5 dcimal places the value for melting point must be reported.
