Answer:
The north America region are more susceptible towards environmental problems such as increase in green house gases due to which depleation of ozone layer occuring over the region. The region divided into urban and rural areas in which urban areas are more vulnerable in producing toxic gases due to burning of fossil fuels, industrial wastes etc. The urban areas contributed more than rural areas for environmental problems. Whereas rural areas are more susceptible activities like forest fires etc which also contribute some toxicity in environment. Due to the climatic change, the change occurs in biodiversity along ocean as well as land. The changes also occurs in water quality, air quality etc. As we can see in figure on page 25, in which regions of north america shown in two different perspective, left figure shows the protected area which is very few and right figure shows interference of human influence which is more. So we can conclude that area under human influence are more susceptible in promoting green house gases which leads to cause environmental issues.
