Question

There are heightened security measures for the Mexico border because of all of the human and drug trafficking. Mexico is considered a "high risk" country where Canada is a "low risk" one. The drug and human trafficking from Mexico has intensified over the years. There seems to be more and more people trying to swim across the Rio Grande. With all of the drugs in Mexico, the U.S. has pressured them to do more to contain it. But Mexico states that the drug trafficking wouldn't flourish if it wasn't for the U.S. having a profitable market for drugs. If people want to come to the U.S. from Mexico they need to have a visa. Not when it comes to Canada, all you need is a photo i.d. and a crossing card. There is less drug, human, and firearm trafficking from Canada than Mexico. Canada has had some random violence and unsuccessful terror attempts at the border. Mexico has high fencing along its border and it is patrolled by 1,200 ground troops. Canada only has sporadic fencing and the border is patrolled by law enforcement. There are less problems from Canada than there are from Mexico. IN
