The three most common methods to evaluate a job based on skill needs and identifying the contribution of the job to the organizations goals are as follows”
Evaluating each method as follows:
· Ranking method is not correct where hierarchies are not clearly defined and job roles have complexities, it is suitable only for a small business organization with limited employees who have a clear role defined. The method keeps the division of labor clear and requires no extra inputs from employees.
To sum it up there is no perfect system for job evaluation, a good mix of all above with the inputs of the manager of the employee plus the performance has to be carefully analyzed before handling the compensation which is critical for all employees’ satisfaction.
