The data provided here is concerned with the various characteristics of employees in a company with reagard to their professional and personal life. The first table shows that (68/197)*100 = 34.51% of the employees have very high satisfaction with their work environment while (31/197)*100 = 15.73% have low satisfaction with their environment. Next, it is seen that 57.36% workers have high job involvement while only 6.6% have low job involvement. Also, 34% employees have high job satisfaction but 18.27% have low job satisfaction. 38.57% employees have high satisfaction in their relationship and a 65.48% workers have a better work life balance in the present job than elsewhere. 37% workers have bachelors degree , 23.85% workers have a masters degree and 13.7% do not have a college degree. 85.28% workers are rated to be excellent performers and the rest are rated as outstanding.
The following recommendations can be made based on this data :
1) It is seen that there are still many workers who do not even possess a college degree. Such workers should be encouraged to pursue higher education in order to aquire better skills and enhance their productivity.
2) A substantial proportion of workers have low job satisfaction which may affect their productivity. They must be encouraged to be involved in their specific area of interest and must be given incentives to perform better.
3) Many workers also show low satisfaction with the work environment. This requires better coordination among peer groups and management of disputes between workers.
4) Finally, workers having low relationship satisfaction may have lower productivity and the company can intervene in providing counselling to their employees.
To get a broader picture of these employee characteristics at a macro level, data from various employment surveys at the national and international level can be used. The World Bank and ILO reports on employment and unemployment can also be used for the purpose. At a local level, these data can be obtained from the local ministry of labour and even from reports of some private research organizations and NGOs.
