Explanation / Answer

Many cultural differences are present which influence the free market business in a country. Such an example is Walmart which wanted to expand their business to India by buying out local farms and stores. Walmart was then able to lower the prices of vegetables and they opened up shop. But Indians and their culture made them more loyal. Indians got to know that local jobs of citizens were being cut out which gave them a motive not to buy from Walmart. They decided to take care of their neighbors and be more ethical. They did not opt to buy cheaper vegetables, instead, they stuck with their decision and ethical values. The American culture is way more different and people try to get the best deals. They do not care more about ethics and morality. Hence we can see that the culture of a country plays an important role while doing business in that country.
