2. What private-label brand does your chosen retailer offer.

3. What products are included in the product line?

4. Compare the price and quality of one of the products to that of a comparable national brand.

For example, if I chose Costco as the retailer, then their private-label brand is Kirkland. I would then tell what types of products are offered by Costco under the Kirkland brand. Finally I would choose, say Kirkland coffee, then compare it's price and quality to that of Starbucks or another established brand.

Explanation / Answer

The retailer of my choice is Walmart It offers many private-label brands but I will choose Ol' Roy This product line deals with the dog food category. A comparable national brand is Pedigree. For comparing price we take small dogs category we see that per kg price of pedigree is $3.31 while that of Ol' Roy is $2.40 so Ol' Roy is cheaper and quality is considered similar.
