NO, iam not thinking that the euthanasia is an alternative for patients and families suffering from pain. any way GOD has given them life, we dont have the right to take it , let them live . what we can do for them is make their life in a comfortable zone as much as we can by providing a loving and competant care.
for the relatively healthy individual who supports the euthanasia , the reason is fear. fear of becoming burden to family, fear for surviving without really living, fear of severe uncontrolled pain. here PAIN is the villan. development of modern methods in palliative care makes euthanasia unnecessary. once a patient feels welcome, and not a burden to family , once his pain is controlled , and other symptoms has reduced, once when we make them involve in daily activities as much as can , the cry for euthanasia disappears. killing the pain , not the patient is our wish. help the patients to live like norml with proper palliative care, all necessary hospice support, and effective pain control meassures.
