Find the magnetic flux of an infinitely long current carrying wire of current I
ID: 1277237 • Letter: F
Question
Find the magnetic flux of an infinitely long current carrying wire of current I once it enters a cylinder of radius r.
This is my answer:
We use the magnetic field formula to find B, we then use the formula to find the area of the cylinder. Then we find the magnetic flux by multiplying the magnetic field by the area of the cylinder.
Magnetic field = (permeability of free space( 4pi 10^-7) * current)/(2pi radius)
Magnetic flux= magnetic field * area
Magnetic flux= ((2l *10^-7)/r)*(2pi r h+2pi r^2)
Explanation / Answer
sir magnetic flux = uo I where uo is the magnetic permeability and I is the current using ampere law
