Explanation / Answer

In the class room we can gain konwledge on what are the geriatric changes and likelihood occuring diseases.

GOALS:

-To Recollect the theory konwledge when you practically examine a geriatric patient

-To Know how to assess and what to assess the geriatric problem

-To notify the diseases and prepare plan of care for the patients

-To implement certain procedures

Objectives:

Implement therotical kowledge while collecting data, administering medications, doing any procedures to the geriatric patients

For ex: If a geriatric comes,we should know that what are special physical assessment we can do. pertaing to eyes we have check for cataract and any surgeries in the pat. for everybody we will collect it but every age criteria has different mandatory fielda where we need to collect it for sure.

Timeline for the practical requirement for 5days:

Day-1

-Identify the disease conditions and causes for the same in all geriatric patients, compare, analyse and implement your theoritical skills

-Learn how do physical examintion

-Try to give counselling

-Assess in planning diet for geriatric patients

Day - 2

- Take one subject collect the history and explan about the plan of care to your senior while preparing it

- Clarify your doubts if you have any (discussion session)

Day -3

-identify the patient

-collect the history

-prepare care plan

-impliment the same under someones supervision

Day-4

-Repeat same day-3 activities

Day-5

- Discussion

- Test by giving scenarios
