Help with writing assignment please! Please list and explain premises that support the following answer to the question : is democracy necessary to achieve an ideal society? Here is my answer;
Democracy is just a form of government that is formed by people and made for the people. A form of government in which ultimate power is under people of the country and used directly by the people or by their elected representatives under a free electoral system. A state of society which is distinguished by formal equality of justice and privileges. An ideal society as a collective identifies as an organism where each cell in the organism is integral to the organisms wellbeing. The health of an ideal society would be kept would be within the entire society, promoting and ensuring wellbeing through sustainable and healthy practices. Governments can be classified into many different types- democracy, republic, monarchy, and dictatorship just to name a few. This ensures that are different types of government that could possibly achieve an ideal society, it is not just limited to democracy.

Explanation / Answer

In a direct democracy, citizens and politicians are interconnected and interdependent in a fundamentally different way than in a purely parliamentary democracy. An ideal or a utopian view of the society is based on the ideas of equality, social harmony, economic prosperity and political stability. The members of such a democratic society have the same rights and obligations. In this sense of viewing the ideal implementation of democracy with all its essence, it is possible to achieve a society where these ideas of equality, harmony, justice, prosperity and political stability can prevail. This does not discount the fact that other forms of government may prove to create these notions in their own unique way to achieve harmony.
