Distance between the two dark fringes on either side of the central bright fringe 2*y = 2*lamda*D/d

lamda is the wavelength of the light = 640*10^-9 m

width of the slit is 0.77*10^-3 m

Distnce of the screen from the slits is D = 3.1 m

then required distamce is 2*y = (2*640*10^-9*3.1)/(0.77*10^-3)

2y = 5.15*10^-3 m = 5.15 mm
