Question

plan a 3-course meal with a balance of biological macromolecules for your family. Make sure to include at least one monosaccharide, a disaccharide, a polysaccharide, saturated and unsaturated fats, and storage protein. Please label each item as to which macromolecule group it belongs. A specific protein that helps the body digest food is called an enzyme. Chapter 3 ends with an article regarding lactose intolerance (p.50). You will learn more about enzyme function in chapter 5 but for now, please research (by using the Internet) appropriate enzymes your body need to secrete to digest each meal item you have created.

Explanation / Answer

Problem: 3 course meal balance plan

ans. First course meal includes apple, milk, groundnut. Apple includes mono, di and polysachharide. Groundnut include polysachharide ,saturated, unsaturated fats, proteins. Milk includes monosachharide protein, saturated, unsaturated fats.

second course meal include rice, apple, egg. Rice includes polysachharide. apple includes mono, di and polysachharide. Egg includes saturated, unsaturated fats and proteins.

Third course meal includes egg, apple, wheat bread.  Egg includes saturated, unsaturated fats and proteins. Apple includes mono, di and polysachharide. Wheat bread include polysachharide and protein.

each meal contain balance diet of 1) mono,di and, polysachharide, 2) saturated and unsaturated fat and 3)protein. For digestion of the mono,di and, polysachharide enzymes required are amylase (alpha, beta and gamma). Protein digestion require protease and peptidase enzymes that includes pepsin, papain, trypsin. Saturated and unsaturated fat digetion require lipase enzymes that includes pancriatic lipase, gastric lipase, phospholipase, cholesterol esterase. Thus all these enzymes are required after each meal.
