reactance due to inductor, XL = jwL

and reactance due to capacitor, Xc = 1 / jwC


at w = 0.5 Hz,

XL = 0.5 x 1 =j 0.5 ohm

Xc = 1/(0.5 x 1) = -j2 ohm

R = 1 ohm


all there are in series,

Z = 1 + j0.5 - j2 = 1 - j1.5

|Z| = sqrt(1^2 + 1.5^2) = 1.80 ohm .....Ans
