Question

Why can nuclear fusion only occur at high temperature and densities, but not under room temperature conditions?

Because protons have no charge.

Because light can only fuse at high frequencies.

Because high heat keeps protons apart.

Because electrons repel protons under normal conditions.

Because protons and nuclei normally repel one another.

Explanation / Answer

nuclear fusion only occur at high temperature and densities, but not under room temperature conditions is

we know that the positvely charged nuclei (protons) repel eachother from the coulomb's law of forces .

so to combine two positively charged particle we require more temperature and densities to overcome the coulomb forces , so nuclear fusion only occur at high temperature and densities.
