What would happen to the action potential in a neuron exposed to this drug? Explain your answer. Assume the neuron is at resting membrane potential (e.g., -70 mV) at the time it is exposed to the drug.

Action potential will not be generated because it require opening of voltage gated sodium channel to reach the firing level the flow of sodium along its concentration gradient.
It overcomes the repolarization and runs away depolarization effect.
