Question
The electric flux through the closed surf ace in the following figure is: positive. negative. zero. Impossible to determine from the information given. Find the electric flux through the surface in the figure below: -3 C/epsilon_0 +3 C/epsilon_0 0 -6 C/epsilon_0 3. Two spherical shells have a common center. A -2.0 mu C charge is spread uniformly over the inner shell, which has a radius of0.050 m. A 6.0 mu C charge is spread uniformly over the outer shell, which has a radius of 0.15 m. Find the magnitude and direction of the electric field at a distance (measured from the common center) of 0.20 m, 0.10 m. and 0.025 m.Explanation / Answer
1. In the first question the flus through losed surfaceis zero as the electric field is not either generating in the closed field nor it is terminating. Hence circular integration over the surface is zero and hence the flux is zero.
2.The flus through the surface is summation of all charges i.e -5+-3+2 = -6 , hence the total flux is option D
