Write a scholarly essay analyzing the relationship between water rights and other institutions of society, politics, and economics. What is the historical origin of the current issues and problems in these three areas with respect to water rights? Describe the interplay between the notion that access to water is widely viewed as a critical health issue and a fundamental human right on the one hand, and political claims to water rights, on the other.

Discuss and cite at least three (3) scholarly references to support your response.

Water is the most important ingredient which is necessary for the survival of human lives. No one can survive without water. Despite of having 96% water on our planet . Drinkinable water and access to water has always been an issue . Because water is not only used for drinking but for many other activitites like agriculture, personal use , generating electricity etc.

Water pollution and availability to water has made countries to discuss over the issue of making some regulations which can monitor the movement of water. Although as water in fluif state as in rivers and ocean are hard to be kept in borders But for discussion we will take three different location

1. India:- In india there are various rivers, waterfalls, sea and ocean which has plenty of water but still many part of the country deals with the issue of unavailability of water. There are various goverments projects which concentrates on water conservation and connecting rivers so that regions having the issue of water scarcity can be resolved.

Politics also plays an important role in this as there are various states in india which have there own rules and regulation which decides how much water should be released and kept . A central goverment makes rules for the states which is being followed by the others.

USA :- under safe drinking water act EPA puts a limits over the availability of contaminants in the water. Moreover they also decides that how much water is to be given for each house so that they doesnot start wasting the water.

They also makes water testing schedule . Most state control these regualtions and management in there own borders only.

England :- If we take england into consideration we will find similar rules in this region as well. Be it be water supply regulation act. All these political notions makes one thing is clear that be it any corner of the world, Everyone is worried about there availabilty of water

We have seen scriptures on the temples where women are holding a vessel filled with water. which showw that this has been an issue of daily life since past
