2)The answer will contain that many significant figures as the number of least in the question

a)37.60*1.23

least significant figure is in 1.23 = 3

so, 37.60*1.23 = 46.248

however, we will keep only 3 significant figures

so the answer is 46.2

b)6.7/8.975

s is the least number of significant figures.

so 6.7/8.975 = 0.7465

ROunding to 1 decimal place, the answer is 0.7

c)3.765+1.2+37.21

least significant figures is 2

so 3.765+1.2+37.21 = 42.175

but least is 2

so the answer is 42
