Question
A heart pacemaker fires 80 times a minute, each time a 25.5 nF capacitor is charged (by a battery in series with a resistor) to 0.632 of its full voltage. What is the value of the resistance (in )? Find the currents (in A) flowing in the circuit in the figure. (Indicate the direction with the sign of your answer. Due to the nature of this problem, do not use rounded intermediate values in your calculations-including answers submitted in WebAssign.) = 24.0V 0.10 5.0 48.0V 17 0.50 46 0.20 62 4-36.0 V i0.05 h 42Explanation / Answer
solving Answer for the first question
It is given that each time the Capacitor is charged to 0.632 of full value
it means in that time ,voltage across capacitor is 0.632*Vpeak so this time is called time constant of RC charging circuit
time in which each cycle gets charged to this value=60/80=3/4 sec
time constant=RC=3/4=0..75
we got R=0.75/C=2.94*10^7 ohm
