The value of the external B-field is given in the plot below, taking positive B as out of the page. The wires have a resistance of 5.0 ohm per meter. When t =6.0 s, A) What is the direction of the induced B field at the center of the loop? Explain briefly. B) What is the magnitude and direction of the induced current? Show your work.

A] At t = 6s, external magnetic field is increasing as seen in graph.

So by lenz law, induced magnetic field will tend to decrease the total magnetic field.

Hence induced magnetic field points into the page.

b] induced current = induced emf/R

= A*dB/dt * 1/R

= 6*3*(2/3)/(5*18)

= 0.1333 A answer
