Despite what you see in science fiction movies, we don't know how to make artificial gravity. However, we can make something that seems like gravity if we work in a rotating reference frame. Suppose NASA builds a space station as a 1000-m-diameter cylinder that rotates about its axis. The inside surface is the deck of the space station, so that people stand on the inside surface of the cylinder. As they move on the rotating cylinder, its floor will push against their feet providing the centripetal force they need to move in a circle.
What rotation period will provide "normal" gravity? answer in seconds

centripetal force mv^2   / r    = mg ..............................(1)

Here g = acceleration due to gravity   = 9.8 m/s^2

from equation (1) we get

v^2 / r   = g

v = sqrt ( rg)

time period of revolution   T = 2*pi r   /v = 2*pi *r / sqrt(rg)

r   = 1000 m

g = normal gravity which is equals to acceleration due to gravity
