Given,

Image distance v = d - fe = 17 - 1.9 = 15.1 cm

A)

Using lens equation (1/f) = (1/u) + (1/v)

1/u = 1/0.90 - 1/15.1

Object distance, u = 0.957 cm

B)

Magnification of objective lens mo = u/v

Magnification of eye piece me = 25/fe

total magnification = mo*me = 15.1 x 25/(0.957 * 1.9)

M = 207.60
