In an ideal world how would the Health Care Industry operate?

Address such issues as:

1.    Should the United States have a single-payer plan to fund National Health insurance?l.

2.    Should life-sustaining medical care be rationed based on age?

3. Should doctors ever help terminally ill patients to commit suicide?

4. What services are provided by Community mental health centers?

5. One other question that you would like answered pertaining to material from chapter 11.

Explanation / Answer

In an ideal world, health care Industry should operate at smaller levels as well. For example they should give training to the students of school as how to cope up with a situation say if any one gets heart attack so what should be done at that very moment so that the condition doesnot becomes so critical by the time the patient reaches hospital and so on.

1. Single payer plan to fund National Health insurance may end up resulting in scarcity of funds to provide better provisions and facilities and its better to have more than one funding plan.

2. No it should not be rationed at any cost.

3. Doctors might help terminally ill patients to commit suicide but there is always a chance of unfair actions also. which can result in inappropriate death means .hence it is always denied.

4. Community mental health centers help patients by counselling them. They talk to them and help them overcoming their problems.
