Question
When i am obtaining by the law of linear momentum, the speedof Tonto, lone Ranger and the wagon after the collision, Why can Isay that the speed that Tonto and Lone Ranger will have a veryshort time before the collision will be 0? aren´t theyjumping from a tree and affected by gravity? In that case what i did was to obtain the maximum speed thatthey would need to uncharge the gold if they have 40 meters beforethe cliff and they need 5 seconds to do so. And obtainen themaximum hight from which they could jump to still be able to obtainthe gold... according to law of conservtion of momentum the collisionbetween two objects with masses m1,m2 and speeds u1,u2 can bewritten as m1 * u1 + m2 * u2 = m1 * v1 + m2 * v2 therefore the collision between Tonto and Lone Ranger will notbe zero at a very short time before the collisionRelated Questions
