Question
An RLC circuit exists, with current flowing counter clockwise through it. R= 5.661 Ohms, L=20.2 mH, and C=157.6?F. Voltage across the capacitor is positioned so that the current meets the positive terminal first. The initial conditions are v(0+) = 0 and i(0+) = 669.4 A.
There are no independent source inputs. The inductor current, i, is considered to be the output.
a) Solve for natural response, in(t).
b) Find the value of R that would provide critical damping in a). All other parameters
remain unchanged. Then solve for in(t).
c) Double the value of R that was used in a). All other parameters remain unchanged. Then
solve for in(t).
