Question
i was wondering how to approach the problem: A Piston/Cylindercontains 1.5kg of water at 200 kPa, 150 C. It is now heated by aprocess in which pressure is linearly related to volume to a stateof 600 kPa, 350 C. Find the final volume and the work in theprocess. I know how to find the work, but i'm notsure how to get the final volume, only the specific final volume.Am i right in assuming the mass is constant throughout the process?Could anyone help? i was wondering how to approach the problem: A Piston/Cylindercontains 1.5kg of water at 200 kPa, 150 C. here is the catch Assuming you have theright Formular to determined the work. I am assuming itis W= Pm(v2-v1) and you know how to determine Work fromthe First Law or so from these two equation solvethe w=pm(V2-V1) and determined V2.
