Question

there are two methods for determining the range from the SV to the REC in GPS. Code (C/A and P) and waves (L1 and L2) discuss two elements of GPS signals as they relate to each method. choose from the list of elements shown below.1.determination of time,2. Atmospheric errors3. correlation of signal at REC4. what is actually measured at the REC5. Accuracyplease follow these steps after choosing the two elements1. a header with the element you will discuss2. one short paragraph on the element to be discussed for example what is the element. might be just 2 to 3 sentences3. one paragraph explaining how the elements effect s waves and how it effects codes.i am looking for general effects not alot of technical details.

Explanation / Answer

if it helped please rate me lifesaver GPS works by correlating the signals at the receiver to determine the time (3 and 1). That determined time includes an error due to the atmosphere (2) (4) The receiver is actually measuring the correlation between the expected code and the incoming signals and using that to determine the time differences in the signals from all the SVs it can see. So it is measuring time deltas which relate to differences in the distances of the different SVs. (5) I have no idea what AODC means. (6) Accuracy is determined by atmospheric errors, other errors (far too long a list to put them all) and the geometry of the SVs.
