Explanation / Answer

Crystal structure is the repeated pattern of unit cell (minimum numbers of atoms arranged to describe the pattern). In case of metals in solid form this pattern exhibits all the properties of the metal e.g. low electric negativity, good electrically conductivity due to presence of valence electron, strong bond between atoms exhibit high strength , High melting point to break strong metallic bond etc. These crystalline form in metals can be BCC(Body Centered Cubic), FCC(Face Centered Cubic), HCP(Hexagonal Closed Packed) types. That is why it is important to study crystal structure of metals.
