A positive 1.00 C charge moves to the right at a distance 2.50 m above the wire at constant speed v = 4000 m/s . Explanation / Answer

Given,

I = 3.10 A

q = 1 C

v = 4000 m/s

d = 2.50 m

Then,

By 1st right hand rule, B forms circles around the wire which will be into the page above the wire.

As we can see that in figure the wire with I to the left. v is to the right.

So,

B = u0*I/2*pi*r

B = 4*pi*10^(-7)*3.10 / 2*pi*2.50

B = 2.48*10^(-7) T
