These squid reproduce readily in captivity, and do so quickly: females lay clutches of 50 eggs on average, and it takes only 3 weeks for offspring to reach reproductive age. The squid are marked for individual recognition with numbered tags. When you enter the laboratory where the squid tank is held, you note that some of the individuals consistently flee to the far side of the tank, while others approach you. You become interested in exploring the genetic basis of the behavioral differences you observe.

3A) Develop a set of hypotheses and predictions for the genetic basis of the behavioral differences you observed. Your hypotheses should match with the behavioral data you collected. Children shared 50 percent of their genes with each parent. Therefore got genes to be influential whatsover the traits in question must be run in families. A trait could be environmentally transmitted rather than inherited.
