(a) A long cylindrical conductor of radius R0, whose axis coincides with the z-axis, carries a uniformly distributed current I0 in the +z direction. Find the magnetic field B(x) inside and outisde the cylinder.

(b) A cylindrical hole is now drilled out of the conductor, parallel to the axis, so that the corss section is shown in the figure. The center of the hole is at x=a, and the radius is b. The conductor carries the same current I0 as in (a). Determine the magnetic field in the hole. You will find that the magnetic field in the hole is uniform.
