Question
Two blocks of equal massed are connected via a pulley system. The mass of the pulley equals the mass of each block. One block is hanging down from the pulley, and the other is on an inclined plane. This is similar to an Atwood Machine except that on side of the pulley is on an inclined plane. 1)how are the accelerations of the two blocks and the pulley related? 2)What is the acceleration of the block on the inclined plane? 3) If the hanging block starts from a height "h", what is the angular velocity of the pulley when the hanging block hits the ground?Explanation / Answer
