Question
As you may have noticed, we were only concerned with the refraction of light at the flat, straight boundary slabs? of the slabs of material. Why do we not concern ourselves with refraction at the curved boundaries of our O O O the angle of incidence is 90° all of the light reflects off the curved boundaries the angle of incidence is 0° the angle of incidence is 45° O O the speed of light doesn't change across the curved boundaries the indices of refraction are identical across the curved boundariesExplanation / Answer
A) The refraction is not considered at curved ends as the light enters always along the normal through curved ends, so the angle of incidence is zero and hence no refraction is observed.
B) As the light is going from rarer (air) to a denser (pyrex glass) medium light will bend towards the normal, so the angle of refraction is less than the angle of incidence. Since the angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection so the angle of refraction is less than the angle of reflection too.
