Explanation / Answer

1] An alternative to eating plan J would be eating plan B.

The reason is that in eating plan B there is a correct mixture of proteins, fats and carbs with a good percent of green vegetables and fruits too. So, it is a Balanced Diet Plan which includes all the nutrients, roughage and water in the required quantity.

2.[a] In eating plan F , carbohydrate content is low. Fat intake is just enough to provide the necessary energy required by an individual for a normal day. Water intake is good. This will not only keep the body well hydrated but also help to digest the food easily. Low carb intake will help to lose weight.

[b] This plan can be followed till the BMI of the person is within the expected range. If the ferson starts getting underweight or fatigue begins to take over, then the plan should be changed.

[c] To make this diet more balanced, we need to include more of carbohydrates and plenty of green vegetables and fresh fruits. Protein intake is sufficient, so no changes need to be made in its content. Whole brown bread, yoghurt and some rice can be included in the diet to make it more balanced.

3. [a] Eating plan B has the best balance of proteins, lipids and carbohydrates. Along with these, it also includes fruits and green vegetables which are so important for providing vitamins and minerals.

[b] Eating plan C is the easiest for a person to follow.

[c] This is so because eating plan C includes all the food items which are easily available and also cater to the common taste of most people. The contents of this diet plan are what most people prefer to eat.
