Question

People who have studied MS or PhD degree in Electrical engineering

How do or did you study??

Do you have your own insights or knowhows on how to studying efficiently?

I graduated with Electrical engineering BS and planning to pursuing MS degree in the US

And after I got out from undergrad, I completely lost how I could start studying the subjects.. and honestly I felt some professors left out the students more confused and wanted to get by with the classes without actually teaching the classes or just giving ridiculously hard questions to get the grade distributions, because there will be always students ace the classes without learning from the lectures or from professors

I am not one of those students always aced the classes and failed some classes couple of times, because of those issues

I tried to solve lots of problems, took decent notes, watched youtubes.. but it seems this is not good enough for me..

I have seen students missed half of the class days still aced the classes

I heard there are lots of students share the old exams and other references keep it for themselves

And I am afraid it would be hard to pass the classes when I start doing MS because I heard there will be lots of students from middle asia or other countries usually keep the important or valuable references for themselves..

I also heard there some people use third party to do the projects and etc.. and I am afraid I will be left out in the class

Please gvie me some real tips and guidances if you have studied MS of PhD in EE

I want to know more and further develop my knowledge in EE or related field of studying.. but I can't seem get the real grasp or know how to fishing...

Please explain how you study in general for the classes or subjects in EE in the US for MS PhD

Do you first solve the problems? and read the chapters if you don't understand, then try watch you tubes if you don't understand it?

Do you discuss your coleagues about how you could knock down the exams and plan out?

What are your steps or methods of studying? What tools (Chegg, old references, etc) have you used?

What made you achieved MS and PhD?

PLEASE GIVE ME THE REAL TIPS, EXPERIENCES AND ADVICE, NOT LIKE SOME GENERAL TALKS OR PHILOSOPHIC STATEMENTS ETC..

I WANT REAL ADVICE FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE STUDIED MS OR PHD

Explanation / Answer

I understand your situation because I once was in a similar state of mind as you are in right now. I thought it would be extremely difficult for a person like me to pursue MS. But I have realized that I was wrong when I knew I had a burning desire to crack the MS.

First of all forget what happened in the undergrad. It won’t be the same in MS. Generally the professors are very very good at what they say. When they explain a concept, they explain it so nicely that you can actually understand what is going on. And for that you don’t need to be an ACE student for neither am I.

But you do need to follow certain steps in order that you don’t let the course work trouble you.

WITH ALL THIS I MUST HAVE TO SAY THERE IS NO ONE WHO CAN DO BETTER THAN YOU WHEN YOU HAVE THE BURNING DESIRE TO CRACK IT.

ALL THE BEST BUDDY!!!
