Explanation / Answer

ATP has 2 phoshoanhydride bond ( bond between two phosphate group) . This bond is less stable thus considered a high energy bond. The bond phoshoanhydride bond with gamma phosphate group has more potential energy thus more prone to hydrolysis. When this high energy bond is broken , ADP+Pi is released as a product.

When things crosses a membrane because there are more of them on one side of the membrane than on the other it is called diffusion.
