Question
On a global basis do anthropogenic or biogenic sources emit more volatile organic compounds ( VOC's - define as gas phase carbon compounds excluding CH4 and CO) which VOC had the greatest flux ( i.e is emitted in the largest amount). In spite of its large flux its concentration is much lower than that of methane. Why?

Explanation / Answer
answer- Volatile organic carbon are larger group of carbon based chemicals that is quickly evaporate at room temperature in the exporsure to air. the common examples of VOC are following.
Acetone, Benzene, formaldehyde, toulene etc
its sources are from Building material ( carpets, composite wood products, paints, solvents, varnishes, and vinyl floor) , home care products (air conditionars, fuel oil and gasoline, cosmatics) .
it has adverse effect on human health its short term exposure cause eye nose irritation, hedaches voimiting etc and long term exposure cause cancer, liver and kidney damage.
On global basis it found that anthropogenic source emit more voltile organic compounds has largest flux.
