Prions are the high resistant micro organisms. These are proteinaceous infectious particles which are 18 times harder to kill and most resistant to microbial entities.
Mycobacterium and staphylococcus are moderate resistant micro organisms. Mycobacterium cells have thick waxy layers. Staphylococcus are heat and chemical resistant due to thick protective peptidoglycan cell walls.
Viruses are low resistant microorganisms because of absence of cell wall.
