1)- Mesozoic era begins at around 250 million years ago, at that time there was only one continent that is known as the supercontinent Pangea which contains the today’s all continents in a one supercontinent and this big continent is surrounded by the large ocean namely Panthalassa, in the mid Mesozoic era this supercontinent began to break because of the movement of the convection cell in the mantle and thus gradually it separated the today’s continents in which we r living now.

There was the regular changing in the geomagnetic polar locations from time to time because the magnetic poles were in the wandering and thus it causes reversal in magnetic fields. This era wise change in magnetic field also affects or got recorded in the minerals of the outpouring ridges of the mid oceanic ridges, this the basaltic lava forms alternate strips with alternate magnetic moment these strips are known as the Zebra Stripping, and these are the basis of the study of paleo magnetism and the reversal of magnetic pattern or polarity

Subduction is a process in which at the time of the convergence of tectonic plates, one plate which is heavier goes under the other plate which is relatively lighter, this process accompanied with the evolution or forming of volcanic arcs or island arcs. Convergence can be between oceanic- oceanic plate which forms island arcs such as Philippines archipelago, Indonesian archipelago etc , between oceanic- continental plates these forms volcanic mountain ranges such as Andes Range , Rockies range etc
