In this forum, we try to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the geographical location of Latin American and Caribbean countries in relation to the USA. The political and economic significance and implications to both sides have been very controversial, and have pros (advocates) and antis (critics) on both sides. Historically, the USA had significant political and economic dominance and intervention in several Latin America and Caribbean countries. Likewise, some Latin American and Caribbean countries have significant political, economic, social, and economic impacts in the USA through trade, immigration and/or drug trafficking.

Discuss some of the political, economic, and social advantages or disadvantages of USA relations with Latin American and Caribbean countries. Try to express your own opinion.

the social advantages of the USA relation with lalin american and caribbean countries are:

As the US is a global leader and a world power , its several organizations like WHO, UNHCR, UNICEF etc. most of it are under its jurisdiction , so its definately for the welfare of the people of The US and of the latin americas with whom there is and political and social tie and approval that they will help nations with will.

help in reducing poverty and women empowerment is the foremost social will each nation endeavours.

another advantage is that good neighbourhood between the nations always preaches friendship and less chance of war as many countries are prone to.

the social disadvantage due to the geographical conditions of latin america and the US had the case of dealing with drugs and US immigrants, many cross the border as immigrants and many for drug business which grows exponentially and makes life miserable.

the Economic advantages are:

1) with bilateral ties there is memorandum of understanding under which the US and also the latin america is officially bonded to help each other in cultural , social and regional interest.

2) due to Economic relation with the US and latin america along with the caribbean, venenzuala has become has become the largest fuel supplier to the united states, therefore strengthening the financial stability of latin america and help in increasing GDP and PCI.

3) foreign direct investment.

economic disadvantage is that sometime the nation because of the economic ties is depended upon the other nation and when there is economic breakdown or bankruptcy it has to suffer so the nation should be economically strong and self dependent.

political disadvantages are always on the cards and in latin america many regions follows extreme dictatorship who can double cross and regret following the ties and such condition may raise a war, so there should always be precautions in political ties.
