TI Nspire calculator: answer is being output in square parenthesis - can't use it in trig functions
I have just programmed a heap of functions into the documents section of my calculator, one being a quadratic equation. Everything seems to be working and I am getting the expected values when I run it however the answer for the quadratic operation is shown in square brackets. If I use that answer in another calculation I get the message "Scalar has been multiplied by the identity matrix".
I have further functions to add to my program that rely on this number (specifically trig functions) and they return error codes.
Does anyone know why this would be happening? Is there some way I can get the number out of the brackets?

All you have to do is ensure that your calculator is not in matrix mode. It would seem like the answer given there is a 1x1 matrix, which means, your calculator is in matrix mode, plz remove that and then it should output the answer in the required format
