a).We cant predict the earthquake in complete but partially we can do. now the question arises how? the ans wer is the statement of the Ellsworthy, according to him the prediction of any earthquake requires the prediction of the 3 parameters-
1) Where the earthquake will occur
2) How strong will the shake the grounfd if the occur
3) When the do occur
the first and second can be determined by the USGS but the last one to determine is very tough so its predictioncant be done wholly.

Is there the unusual no of larger earthquakes are happening in the last yera or in the last decade? this was the quwstion asked to the Ellsworthy , and he replied that the no of larger earthquake occuring has not been increased it is with its sequencial manner of happening, And it’s when we have a couple of events in a row that impact society that we hear about it.

The most interesting thing which i heard in this interview is that knowing about the incraesing frequency statics of the earthquake when its magnitude lowers. acoording to his statement- we rarery observe an earthquake of magnitude 6 in a week but we often see the magnitude of 5 in 10 a week and magnitude of 4 about 100 in week and also madnitude of 3 about 1000 in a week occuring in the world, This astornished me that such a large no of earthquakes are happening in a week
